You and your Car
Before you step into your car today, you may have asked yourself how is my car doing. If you are like me, you may take pride in a well presented car and always ensure it is kept in optimum condition at all times.
You don't have to wait for the yearly MOT to find out if your car is road worthy. It should be a regular routine for car owners to carry out simple checks on their cars to ensure it is safe to drive.
Regular routine maintenance of your car is an important responsibility for every car owner. It protects you the driver and can prevent nasty surprises such as unusual breakdowns or expensive repair bills.
Invest in a car manual if you don't have one, it can save you numerous visits to the garage. Haynes stock a host of car manuals.
Some Advantages of Regular Maintenance
Avoidance of expensive repairs.
It's safer to drive and can protect your life.
A well maintained car is more efficient making it economical to run.
It last longer - important in this economic climate.
The car will have a better resale value.
Unnecessary wear and tear can be easily repaired and further damage prevented.
Kinder to the environment i.e. less pollution.
Routine Checks for your Car
You should carry out routine checks such as:
Engine oil - change is recommended every 3000-5000 miles
Power steering fluid
Tyre pressure and wear and tear
Automatic transmission fluid
Coolant level and a host of other simple checks.
Regular service of your car at an approved garage is also something you should budget for. Don't wait until something goes wrong with your car and have to book an expensive appointment with your garage. Keep a regular date with your garage for servicing your car and your car will serve you better.
Exterior and Interior
Some cars are grateful for the rain as that is the only time they ever get a wash. Your car says a lot about you, so keep the interior and exterior of your car in good condition.
Be kind to your car and wash it regularly. Wax if possible and catch any corrosion before it increases. The interior of your car should also be kept clean, this is good for your health especially those who have kids - with enough interior rubbish to fill a skip!. A clean interior keeps dust and other pollutants at bay and promotes a healthy environment in your car.
If you can afford it visit a car valeting service regularly or invest in a hand-held portable vacuum cleaner and duster.
Lastly know your car. If you hear an unusual sound or if something doesn't feel right, visit your garage and have it checked out. It might be a sign of a more serious problem and if caught early can reduce the damage and costs.
At BAO Chauffeurs our cars are maintained to a high standard to ensure we provide the best possible service to our clients. Remember on your lazy driving days, we are available to drive your car or one of ours to your destination.

Every day a lot of business owners, corporate executives, holiday makers and even families have to get to another country by air. Travel to and from the airport becomes inevitable and if not careful what could be a simple non-eventful journey could become an expensive stressful experience.
How do you Travel to and from the Airport?
Do you take the train and lumber your luggage behind you as you trawl from platform to platform? Do you almost twist your luggage handle out of shape as you dash from train to train to make your flight?
Are you one of those who travel by car and leave your vehicle at the mercy of airport parking attendants or the remote airport parking sites?
Or do you leave your journey at the hands of relatives who promise to pick you up at a certain time and find yourself calling for a cab when a sudden emergency changes your plan?
On your return journey, are you left out in the cold waiting for a transfer minibus to take you to your car at that remote parking site?
A Better Option
Whichever way you travel to the airport, there is a better option guaranteed to get you there on time and unruffled. When you cost the time, stress and parking costs it takes you to get to the airport yourself, you are better off with a chauffeur company.

Let’s paint a picture...
Your meeting starts at 11.00am, there is a lot of traffic on the motorway due to an accident that required police attention. Despite the fact that you left home in ample time, you start to perspire as the chances of you getting to the meeting on time slips away. You are attending a meeting that can’t hold without you. You want to create a good impression at the meeting which is been held at the premises of potential clients whose patronage will greatly increase your company’s market share.
You finally reach a stretch of road which is not obstructed by traffic, and then you bear down on the accelerator to gain some time. Your mind wanders as you try to run the proceedings of the meeting through your brain. Suddenly you hear the blast of a horn and realise you had veered off your lane. Thankfully you recover quickly and stay on course as you hope for no more traffic build up on the way. If only you had enough time for some breakfast and a cup of coffee to steady your nerves!
As the clock ticks towards the meeting time, you realise that there is some information about the potential client you need to study, as this is crucial to clinching the deal. You thought you will have enough time to do this when you get to the given address, but there is now no time for that. You finally reach your destination and find out that there are no parking spaces...10.50am and you are still in your car searching desperately for a car park space.
Now you wish you had hired BAO Chauffeur to get you to your destination on time!
Not only won’t you be perspiring so much, you will also have enough time to enjoy breakfast, prepare for the meeting and compose yourself without having to worry about acceleration and deceleration at every traffic light.

A lot of people have the misconception that a chauffeur is just for the rich and famous, but recent enquiries and sales data from many executive chauffeur companies have shown otherwise. More people aware of the benefits of a hiring a chauffeur especially in this modern generation of busy lives and schedules use the services regularly.
What is a Chauffeur?
According to the dictionary a chauffeur is a person employed to drive a car or limousine to transport paying passenger. By this definition, it is obvious that a chauffeur is within reach of most people if the need arises. The stress of driving does take a toll on a lot of people, which can result in road rage and anxiety sometimes. This is common with those who drive on a regular basis, either to work, social engagements, airport transfer and other routes.
As the stress of driving increases, it is wise to ask oneself if it is necessary to take a break from driving sometimes especially for social events and occasions. This allows you to take the back seat and let someone else navigate the roads, whilst you unwind from the stress of daily living.
Driving for Work, Business and Corporate Events
Some people have to get to their destinations by car; this is not a luxury option due to the nature of their work or business. When this becomes a daily occurrence, fatigue can set in, which increases the likelihood of accidents. A chauffeur can provide a vital break to the monotony of driving especially for business executives who must be at meetings and other events on a daily basis. Many chauffeur companies have the necessary personnel to assign a chauffeur to an individual for a full day or more if need be. This provides the client with the space and time to dedicate to more productive items on their daily schedule.
Once your reservation is confirmed, the chauffeur will be waiting punctually outside your designated place to chauffeur you to your required location. This eliminates the need for you to plan the route to your destination, but instead write the list of things to do when you get there. Route mapping and planning has now become the responsibility of the chauffeur ...what a stress repellent.
Arriving at an event in style is a pleasure for most people; it is even more enjoyable when there is someone else to transport you to your destination. Sometimes the touch of a chauffeur driven car makes the whole day even more worthwhile. More people now engage the services of a chauffeur for special occasions such as weddings; this is usually recommended if extensive merriment will be involved. To some people this precaution is not a luxury but a necessary precaution to preserve life. Knowing someone else is available to transport you home allows you to enjoy your outing and relieve the anxiety of getting home safely.
Most chauffeurs are able to work until the wee hours of the morning, so there is no Cinderella curfew in place. Again, it is best to pre-book your outing in advance with a reputable chauffeur company to avoid disappointment.
There are many chauffeur companies in the UK and finding the right one is an important aspect of enjoying the personal chauffeur experience. BAO Chauffeurs is committed to high standards of chauffeur services and ensures the comfort and safety of its clients.
